Dear future me, you finally graduated high school!Dear future self, everything that has happened has lead you to this moment.Dear future self, i know this might come as a surprise, but i'm not writing to you to convince you of anything you don't already know.Dear future self, on the 7th of july, i will graduate from school finally and start a new exciting chapter at university, as a teenager girl, i held on so many dreams, fantasies, would describe my thoughts better.
Dear futureme, my future home and place :Dear me, i hope that you are doing fine as you struggle to achieve your dreams.Dear past leeor, i can’t wait until you see where you’re at now.Dear past self, one day you’re going to look in the mirror and you are not going to recognise yourself.
Do something today that your future self will be proud of.Everything worked out exactly as it should be.Example of how i began the letter:First, i explained how good i'm feeling today.
For me, writing a letter addressed to my future self is a way to clarify and revisit experiences that i’ve been through during the past few months.Future self, in this letter i want to tell you the dreams i have, the aspirations that wake me up and motivate me every day.Future self, you are my guide and you show me what is possible for our life. How much happier i am sober.
I am going to have to break some bad news to you.I have made many new friends;I hope each day you wake up in awe of your life, and every night, you sleep with gratitude in your heart.I hope that between now and then, you'll have learned a lot more and grown into an amazing young adult with a bright future.
I hope this letter finds you doing well.I hope to keep the friendship throughout my lifetime.I hope you have confronted your inner fears, smashed your insecurities, let go of your inner doubts;I hope you have found the.
I hope you have found your happiness.I hope you’ve embraced your inner strength, committed your will, flourished in your ability to positively impact others.I hope you’ve found the skin you feel the most comfortable in, and i hope you never take it off.I hope you’ve let go of the trivial things that bother you about yourself, but find joy in the little things that have truly meant so much in life.
I know you were satisfied with your final grades this semester, but try to blow yourself away next semester.I know you'll probably go through heartbreak with college decision letters (who doesn't?), but i sincerely wish your ultimate path will be one that you love and one that will never make you feel like you're settling for less.I then went on to detail what my life is like in the future.I think it’s one of the reasons i wanted to start this series with this idea for a letter.
I will be a sports champion because i like football or a singer or a baker but i won't be a teacher and a cook and a doctor.I will live in a villa in france.I'm writing to you to remind you of what you vowed to yourself in the closing moments of this.If you haven’t, be smart.
If you’ve ever wondered where you’re heading, or what your work and life is leading up to (if anything), then i have an exercise that might help you. It’s a bit different from journaling because.I’ve written a letter to my younger self many times, and in fact, i’ve posted one of them on this site already, which you can find here.Keep doing the best work possible in school and it will all be worth it in the end.
Keep going and keep trying if your strength and conviction allow you to.Letter to my future self.On february 9, 2019, when the letter i wrote today to my future self pops into my inbox, i'm hoping i can read it with sober eyes, not hungover, and not swimming with rogue regrets.Or to the age when you think you will have kids.
Our experiences make us who we are.Remind yourself it’s the little things in life that truly.Summer is just around the corner and you’re finally heading off to university and taking on many responsibilities.Tell yourself how you want to live the rest of your life.
The future is very bright. This is a huge accomplishment as in the last few years you thought this would be the most formidable task. This semester has been quite interesting to me, but not without challenges. This week, i suggested this exercise when several people i’m coaching were struggling a bit with their purpose.
To my future self, i hope that time has been kind to you, and that you are well.To your kids, when they will be your age.To yourself, when you will be your parents age. What has changed me this semester is the warmness of fellow students.
When you are reading this, see if you have gotten what you wanted.Write a letter to your future self, explain why your insights are so critical.Write a story in present tense about your life in 5 years (you are sipping coffee in your new home.) and paint a picture of your future self's day.Write in the present tense, for example,, “i have a successful business and money is no object.”
Writing a letter to your future self sample. You appear more angular and a little harsher around the edges. You are still the same person on the inside. You show me that no matter what life throws at us, we are stronger, smarter, healthier and more beautiful than ever, not because we rise above it, though we do, but because we have the courage to keep going.
You will smile at your reflection and your face will soften. You wrote this letter some time ago and gave it to someone you trust in the hopes it would never be needed.
